On Sunday morning we have three Senior Adult Bible classes that meet at 10am. We have classes in Room 126 and Room 127 and a Ladies class that meets in Room 122 also at 10am. Join us for coffee, food, fellowship and a lesson from the Bible.
From 7pm - 8:30pm on Wednesday nights, there is a Bible study in Room 127.
Social Activities:
Each month we have a luncheon, either a potluck or catered luncheon, in the Fellowship Hall or Small Auditorium. It’s a time to enjoy wonderful food but most importantly, enjoy great fellowship.
We have a day trip once a month, such as the Dallas Arboretum, Artisan Theater in Hurst, Surprise Trips or a tour of Mrs. Bairds Bread in Fort Worth.
A new event we started in 2008 is a presentation called “This is Your Life”. So far we;ve honored Ralph Gunn, Charles and Yvonne Boldt, Bob and Becky Ingraham., Anna Olson and Leaon Johnston. What a great time to reflect on the lives of people in our church and learn more about them.
We had an overnight trip to Palo Duro Canyon to see the TEXAS play, a 3-day trip to the Presidential Libraries in Austin and College Station and are going on a 8-day/7-night trip to Branson in November of 2009.
Ministry Opportunities:
In May of 2008, we went to Pleasant Hills Children Home in Fairfield, Texas. We took a tour of the campus, but more importantly, we collected and delivered paper goods for the children home's use. We have decided to make PHCH our Young at Heart project by taking a quarterly offering to send to the children's home.
